On July 27 the Russian Federation signed the Additional Protocol to the Council of Europe Convention on the Prevention of Terrorism. The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Justice of the Russian federation took an active part in its development. We are sure that the implementation of this Protocol which started on July 1, 2017 will facilitate more effective combat against terrorism and terrorism financing in a Bigger Europe with the activities of terrorist accomplices and foreign terrorist fighters and training for terrorism suppressed.

We are satisfied that the Council of Europe keeps the cooperation in combating terrorism depoliticised and result-oriented. It remains one the Russian Federation’s priorities in this Organisation.
