On December 4-8, the delegation of the General Prosecutor's Office of the Russian Federation participates in the 78th plenary meeting of the Group of States against Corruption (GRECO), which is the main anti-corruption body of the Council of Europe. An exhibition of posters which were sent to the 8th All-Russian competition of social advertising "New look. Prosecutors against corruption." was launched on the sidelines of the meeting.

The main task of GRECO is to fight corruption through mutual monitoring of the compliance by Member States with Twenty Guiding Principles against Corruption and international legal instruments adopted in accordance with Programme of Action against Corruption. This work is part of the evaluation rounds, the themes of which are determined by the GRECO plenary meeting. The Russian Federation successfully completed the first and second evaluation rounds.

The cooperation between GRECO and the Russian Federation is fruitful and mutually beneficial. GRECO is an example of a successful international de-politicized anticorruption cooperation. The Russian delegation in GRECO enjoys high authority and maintains constructive contacts with the leadership of this body. Mr Aslan Yusufov, Deputy Head of Department for Supervision over Compliance of the Anti-Corruption Legislation, is a member of the GRECO Bureau.
